Gemini Full Moon, 2025
Hi friends,
(I’m late posting this again, but this time I will not be correcting it into past-tense. I’m not sorry and I hope you still enjoy reading it.)
On Thursday December 4th, we will have this year’s full moon in Gemini. It will be exact at 3:14pm PST. At this time, the moon is at her highest point, so evening of the 4th will give us a particularly striking moonrise and opportunity for making our wishes. (It was so cloudy in Seattle, I hope the rest of you got a better look than I did!)
I suspect that this full moon will meet us with a surprising lesson or revelation. Allow yourself to roll with a plot twist as needed.
This December looks like it will be for popping bubbles. We all have something that we’ve been believing for a long time, and that belief has been threatened the last couple years. Now, this month, we are in crunch time. Now we get to see what’s been behind this curtain for so long.
Between the 3rd and the 15th of this month, there will be plenty of opportunities for this to happen. I want to encourage you to look around you and remember that you aren’t alone in your disillusionment. We’re all going through this together. And, in fact, what I think we will all find on the other side of this is that we have choices to make. We’ve been daydreaming, and now we will need to be awake. We will have to decide on a path forward in this new understanding. My hope for you is that you feel you can commit to a path without needing that path to be completely perfect.
In fact, I hope you charge forward with as much of a sense of abundance as you can muster. Let yourself be a beginner now. As tough as some of these transits are, as bleak as so many things around us feel, we still have Jupiter on our side. He is moving slowly and in retrograde, so you may need to look carefully inwards in order to find his guidance, but he is still powerfully placed in Cancer until the summer. Don’t discount him. He’s here to guide and nurture and protect us. Let this give you a sense of optimism.
On the 29th of November, Mercury stationed direct. Now, he’s moving very slowly forward. Very Slowly Forward. He’s ready for us to go back to something normal now, or at least, normal compared to the last few weeks we’ve had of tech fuckups and scheduling mishaps.
As a Virgo rising, with Mercury transiting my third house now, I think the way I personally will be working with this is to ease myself into a better routine. If you’re feeling like you’ve needed more routine in your life, let’s do that together. And I’m not talking about creating routines that are “correct” in the eyes of other people. I’m talking about—what’s going to help me become more authentic in how I show up to my daily life?
Friends, I want to encourage you to turn towards yourself. As the world feels increasingly unstable, I want you to remember that it’s not you that has lost touch with reality. Your inner voice is clear, it is true, and if you nurture your relationship with it, you’ll be building resilience in the face of catastrophe. And that’s the best thing we can all do right now. Sure, some of us can do more. But all of us can do this.
Some wishing prompts for you. As always, read for your rising sign;
Aries - This full moon is here to show you how accomplished you actually are. You’ve done well for yourself in the realm of your practical and everyday life—I hope you take this time to really receive that. Sure, maybe you feel like there could be more. But don’t let that stop you from appreciating what’s here already. You may have a moment where you feel you need to defend your support system, but make sure that when you act, you aren’t acting impulsively. I think very soon you will find that you are much more free to act than you have known for a long time. When you feel the urge to create or master something this month, lean in. See what you can do.
Taurus - this full moon gives you permission to manifest everything you have been needing to support yourself. This moment may bring you some feelings of grief; you may find yourself saying that it did not have to be this way. And it didn’t. But don’t fret. You are your own knight in shining armor. Let yourself surrender to the change that comes, because on the other side of this you may just realize that you do have everything you need.
Gemini - Are you feeling secure and sturdy in yourself? Because I am hoping that this full moon can offer you some reassurance. Watch out for a flare up of old jealousies that you thought you’d moved past, or possibly an encounter with someone harboring jealousy towards you. You are looking forward to solid support from a benefactor or mentor, but watch out for the hijinks your partner is pulling. Not everything that looks good is actually good, not everything that could bear fruit will bloom.
Cancer - this full moon is illuminating the places where you feel you’re lacking. Take the opportunity to see the things that usually stay hidden in the dark. It’s time to start a new chapter of who you are—open yourself to all your most optimistic potentials, all your most creative instincts. You have an obstacle looming, though—make sure you’re defending your own boundaries, not someone else’s. You may feel defeated, but there’s relief on the other side. This is a time to be brave. You have the strength to do this now.
Leo - this full moon shines a light on your community. Take a good look while it’s here. What do you see? And what do you feel? If you are feeling like something is missing, like maybe you could use some more support, let this wake you up to your own needs and agency in this matter. What you are known for has changed radically in the last seven years, and now is a time to own that change. As Mars approaches to burst Saturn’s bubble, you may feel an initial sense of defeat. But Leo, let me tell you what I know for certain: you are strong enough to go through this. You have learned so many lessons about what others can give to you in the last few years, and I know some of those lessons have been painful. But now you have room to dream something bigger. And I encourage you to dream.
Virgo - this full moon is reminding you of all your ambitions. The last seven years have taught you so much about what you believe, and now you may be tempted to feel a bit sour about where this time has brought you. I want you to understand, Virgo, that this isn’t about you and your worth. And now that we are in this last gasp of having Saturn in your seventh house, freedom is knocking. So soon, this weight will no longer sit on your shoulders. Where will you go when you are free? What will you nurture?
Libra - are you ready to share in your community? Or are you still licking your wounds from conflicts that hit closer to home? I don’t want to advise that you harden your heart, but remember that when you play the fool, you are playing the fool, and when someone else is playing the fool, you can’t count on what they’ll bring to the table. You’ve had to face some hard feelings about your body in the last few years, and now, I think, is the time for you to tell yourself a new story. I know you’ve been feeling stuck and sorry for yourself lately, but there is another, more expansive, path here. You can find it when you listen very closely to the feelings in your gut.
Scorpio - let this full moon illuminate all the work you have done to navigate the changes to your major relationships over the last seven years. Take a good look at all that you receive from those connections. This moment in particular may feel like conflict, but conflict is a place where we can find solutions to our problems. You’ve felt for a couple years now that your creativity has slowed down after a good decade of big dreams and ideas. It’s time for you to do something daring. Focus in and see what you’ve made. Now you have an opportunity to be inspired by all that you’ve been going through. Let this be the start of a new adventure, a new lesson, a new rabbit-hole of curiosity.
Sagittarius - you’ve been working so hard. I see your sacrifices. This full moon illuminates all the losses you’ve ceded. I hope you look at them with love and appreciation as you take this opportunity to reflect. So much has changed for you in unexpected ways, and right now I wonder if you might be tempted to see what you have as your last resources. They’re not. You’ll have everything that you need, even if it’s not everything you want. The difference will be meaningful and I hope you let this meaning resonate into your life. Be on the lookout for your inheritance, and don’t let it trap you.
Capricorn - is there a conflict going on at your job? Are you being a bit naive about it? Or maybe just optimistic? Or are you feeling in competition with your own body? I hope, regardless of how this friction is showing up, you bring your beginner’s mind with you to help you solve the issue. One last unexpected twist has arrived (or will arrive shortly) in your creative or romantic life. This will happen quickly, suddenly, and will reach down to the foundation of things. You may feel less resourced than usual, but this will be fleeting. Look to your partners for support.
Aquarius - this moon illuminates some grief for you. There’s something missing, or just not quite right, in your creative or romantic life. Things did not have to be this way. I’m sorry. You’re not feeling well-moored at home these days, and it’s been a long time coming. Please take this as a reminder to move slowly and thoughtfully through your days. Defending the boundaries of your community can give you reassurance about the stability of your support system, so remember to turn outwards when you are feeling unsure.
Pisces - this full moon illuminates all the ways that you have been thrown into transformations in the last year and a half. I know this may all feel very confusing, but I want to reassure you that after all this time, your community is still here. It’s changed, but it’s here. If you feel like you’re spinning your wheels right now, don’t take it personally. The most generous thing you can give to yourself right now is to let go of what isn’t working.
I used a new divination method for these prompts. I am curious how they land. Please feel free to send me your thoughts or reflections on these.
Sending you so much love,
Alanna
